PENGABDIAN KEPADA MASYARAKAT PENDAMPINGAN PEMANFAATAN MEDIA SOSIAL UNTUK PROMOSI BAGI PENGRAJIN TAPIS DI PEKON MARGA KAYA

Abstract

Tapis crafts are a unique cultural heritage of Lampung, possessing high economic and aesthetic value. However, artisans in Pekon Marga Kaya, Pringsewu, face challenges in utilizing digital promotional media to expand their market. This Community Service activity aims to provide mentoring for tapis artisans in utilizing technology-based promotional media. The activity methods included training and hands-on practice on digital marketing strategies, social media usage, and product photography. The results demonstrated an increase in artisans' knowledge and skills in creating promotional content, managing business accounts, and utilizing marketplaces for sales. This activity contributes to increasing artisans' competitiveness and independence in marketing tapis products, while also encouraging the preservation of local culture in the digital age.
