Abstract
The computer assembly and installation training for students of SMK Al Barokah Poncowarno aims to improve participants’ technical competencies and job readiness. This activity was implemented using a participatory method, including careful planning, interactive lectures and demonstrations, hands-on practice, group discussions, troubleshooting simulations, and comprehensive evaluations. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of computer components, computer assembly skills, operating system installation, and supporting software. In addition to technical aspects, students’ soft skills also improved, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and learning motivation. Comparison of conditions before and after the training indicates that students who were previously passive and less skilled are now able to apply practical skills effectively. This training demonstrates that a practice-based approach combined with continuous evaluation is effective in preparing vocational high school graduates to be job-ready and competent in the technology-driven industry.
