Abstract

This research aims to analyze the benefits of the Business Identification Number (NIB) as supporting the sustainability of home industr and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekon Waringinsari Timur. NIB is an official indentity thatprovides business legality through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, whichallows MSMEs and home industries to operate legally and gain various benefits from aspect of legality, access to financing and market expansion. In the context of East Waringinsari Pekon, many MSMEs and home industries do not fully understand theimportance of NIB in developing their businesses. The research result show that NIB has an important role in increasing credibility and acces to business capital and the wider market. Business actors who have an NIB are also more legally protected in running their business. However, there are several challenges faced, such as a lack of socialization and eduction regarding NIB management and limited acces to technology in the area. This research recommends the importance of intensive counseling and technical asisstence in managing NIB as well as increasing acces to technology for MSMEsin Pekon Waringinsari Timur. In the way, it is hoped that NIB can support the sustainability and development of MSMEs and home industries the region optimally
